Blissfully Blues On Tour - In Dartford! (May 22nd)

Michael and Jane have invited us along to Dartford to meet all the existing and new Blues dancers out there - and we can't wait!

We will be running a workshop during the day, to ease everyone into the zone and make sure we all have the skills and confidence to have a fantastic Blissfully Blues evening.

Sara and DJ ISmooth will be in control of the decks and we promise to bring you a fantastic mix of old favourites, new discoveries, and 'Oh my word I really HAVE to dance to this!' tracks for you.

For us at Jive Nites, Blues is about dancing to a broad spectrum of expressive, interpretative, passionate, dynamic and even challenging music... With like-minded dancers who live for those moments on the dance floor when the music, the atmosphere, the connection and the partnership combine to create that perfect dance moment...

Not that we take it seriously or anything!

At Blissfully Blues we strive to create an unintimidating, ambient Blues atmosphere, where you can lose yourself in the music.

The music is always provided by DJ's who are first and foremost, dancers! So you can guarantee that the music they play is the music they as dancers, would want to be hearing.

Lilia at LeRoc - Dorking

Here is one of the photos taken at Dorking Halls on Tuesday the 23rd of March at the LeRoc event run by Colin Shaul
I have yet to discover the name of the young man with Lilia at the meet and greet table, but needless to say he looks rather chuffed with himself.
It was a great evening with a fantastic Caberet and a 1 hour class where Darren and Lilia attempted to teach a couple of hundred people the Cha Cha..
I struggled to keep up at times and what seemed like very basic stuff to these very talented professionals was more than challenging for a few of us. However, it was a great night and then we all got to shake hands, get photos, autographs etc. In the lobby afterwards before an hour of freestyle Modern Jive to great music by Gazza.
All of this fun and excitement for only £10 entrance was very reasonable and a great night out.

Darren & Lilia are back to LeRoc Surrey on Tuesday 23rd March 2010 as part of our Strictly Class special. We are still holding two LeRoc classes for Beginners & Intermediates, using the venues two halls.

They last came in 2009 to record numbers of 396 dancers This will be their 5th visit and all previous four have been amazing nights. We are all excited.

Followed after short break with World class cabaret.
Then after changing & refreshments, they will hold a 30 minutes "Meet & Greet" session.
